Horn Please – Contemporary Indian Cuisine
And so comes the last blog! Thanks all for reading and supporting my uni project, I really appreciate it 😊♥
On Friday I visited Horn Please, a fairly new (2016) contemporary
Indian restaurant on Berkeley St up by Charing Cross.
As someone who has never really explored Indian food, their
3 tapas for £6.95 lunch deal is the perfect way to discover what flavours you
like as the menu has so many options:
The restaurant itself may not look much from the outside but
inside is a different story! The décor has a rustic feel with exposed brick walls
and wicker chairs. There’s lots of little iron nick-naks dotted around the restaurant,
and the whole place itself is a cool setting
Even the loos are a bit cool lol 😊 :
Now on to the food..
Gram Flour Yoghurt, Rice, Masala Okra and Vegetable Pakora
Let’s start with my favourite, crisp fried okra in a creamy sauce
– yum
Broccoli, Paneer and Sweet Corn Samosa with Courgette
Spaghetti
Amazing samosas filled with creamy paneer and blended broccoli
& sweetcorn. I could’ve eaten 10 of these..
Potato, Capsicum and Red Onion Curry with Rice
I loved how these little dishes were just enough to get a
taste of the curry whilst still leaving room for more! For all the veggies out
there is a perfect
Boneless Chicken Curry with Coconut and Coriander Leaves
with Rice
Lacking in chicken… but still yummy
Crepes Stuffed with mixed Vegetable and Paneer Curry
I loved this unique dish!
Masala Marinated Lamb Meatballs Curry with Rice
Delicious – lots of meat and sauce and so flavoursome
Stuffed Puri
Puri stuffed with coriander & a lovely blend of other spices.. it came to
the table warm & fresh & was delightful
Verdict: delicious! Perfect for people like me who were a
little bit unsure of what they like and don’t like in Indian cuisine as for
£6.95 for 3 dishes, you really aren’t going to be disappointed. Amazing value
for money, a lovely restaurant setting and delicious food – what’s not to stop
you from you trying it out?
